Book Review: Frisky Business by Lila Monroe

Frisky Business (Chick Flick Club Book 3) by [Monroe, Lila]

Get frisky with the sizzling new standalone romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author, Lila Monroe!

Noah Hathaway is infuriatingly hot, annoyingly charming… and my new room-mate?! This pet-sitting gig was supposed to be a vacation from drama, but that was before the hunky guy in the pool-house started sticking his nose (and his annoyingly chiseled abs) in my business.

I’m looking for Mr. Right, not Mr. Most Likely to Sneak Out of Bed (And Steal Your Breakfast Pop Tart On the Way Out the Door), so despite the red-hot sparks between us, I’m determined to stay away. But when one little party gets way out of hand, we’re suddenly both on the wrong side of trouble. Unless we can come up with ten thousand dollars in the next three weeks, we’re screwed. And not just when it comes to the adorable pooches.

With the clock ticking, we have no choice but to team up and embark on a madcap scheme to save our asses - with the help of a few furry friends. But with the chemistry between us reading Defcon-69, can I keep my hands (and heart) to myself? Or will this pup-tastic scheme leave us both in the doghouse?

Find out in the latest hot and hilarious rom-com from “the queen of romantic comedy”, Lila Monroe!

Frisky Business is a hilarious new romantic comedy that will tickle your funny bone. Lila Monroe never fails to deliver. This one is for the animal lovers in all of us.

Eve scored with a temporary dog sitting gig while staying in the lap of luxury, that allowed her to get away from her sorority living. To her surprise, Eve discovers she's not the only temporary resident. After a failed first impression, Noah and Eve meet again while sharing the temporary living arrangement. Although they also share chemistry Noah doesn't believe in romance while Even is a "hopeless-romantic, hearts-and-flowers, soulmate kind of girl". They keep their distance until a broken chicken puts them in cahoots, commencing "Operation Replacement Chicken" and some frisky business.

I loved Frisky Business! The story is entertaining and swoony from the beginning to the end. 5 Stars

Book Review: Best Man by Lila Monroe

41968814

Arthur 'Fitz' Fitzwilliam is the hottest, most reckless playboy in town... and my new husband?!

Believe me, I never dreamed that I'd be walking down the aisle to a quickie marriage with a total stranger, but thanks to my eccentric god-mother, an iron-clad will, and a blind, three-legged cat called Alfred (don't ask), I need to get hitched ASAP. And when the perfect candidate leaves me at the altar, there's only one person crazy - and drunk - enough to step up at the last minute.

The best man.

Also known as the man most likely to get caught romping with three Rockettes in the back of a Sex and the City tourbus. The man who could melt my panties at twenty paces - and make me want to pour a bucket of ice-water over his head. The man I just pledged to love and honor and... oh god, WHAT HAVE I DONE?!

Our arrangement was clear: keep up the charade long enough for me to claim my inheritance and send my slime-ball cousins packing. Our plan is working perfectly.

Then Fitz decides to change the rules...

Best Man is my absolute favorite of the Billionaire Bachelor Series. It's a swoony romantic comedy with an edge of angst.

Let me introduce you to my new book boyfriend, Arthur 'Fitz' Fitzwilliam. Don't let his reputation as a reckless, lazy, good-for-nothing trust-fund kid fool you. There is way more to Fitz than meets the the eye. He steps right up when Rebecca Delaney needs a fake husband to save her inheritance.

When Rebecca's first soon-to-be fake husband changes his mind, she decides to drown away her sorrows. Luckily, the best man from her almost fake wedding is happy to step in as a replacement. It seemed like a good drunken idea at the time, until the morning after when Rebecca realizes she's married to the biggest playboy in town.

Their attraction burns up the pages. Fitz is full of surprises! If you haven't read any of the other books in this series, read this one! 5 Stars!

Book Review: You've Got Male by Lila Monroe

41968815

All's fair in love, war, and breakfast waffles...

Zoey Rafferty dreams of becoming the food truck queen of San Francisco. She's building an empire whipping up delicious brunch treats - until the (annoyingly handsome) Breakfast Bandit starts stealing all her customers with his devious tactics and smoldering charm.

Cam Newsom never backs down from a fight. As far as he's concerned, let the best chef win. And so what if Zoey looks sexy as hell when she's all riled up? He wants a woman he can connect with - not have whipped cream spray fights in the middle of the street. A woman like his mysterious online pen-pal, who shares his culinary ambition, and burns up his screen with her flirty quips.

Soon, their competition is heating up the kitchen - and the bedroom. But when the famous foodie TV show Truck Stop rolls into town looking for a new reality star, all bets are off, as Zoey and Cam compete for the prize. But will their rivalry blow both their chances?

And what happens when they find it's not just their food on the line - but their hearts, too?

You've Got Male is a swoony, rivals-to-lovers romance that will leave you hungry for more.  It is the second book in the Chick Flick Club series. The competition is steep and the antics are heated. I love a good rivalry and this story hits the mark.

Zoey Rafferty is following her dreams by building her empire with The Little Red Wagon food truck, which serves delicious and inventive brunch. She's found her niche in San Francisco until competition starts stealing her customers.

Cam Newsom is in it to win it. When he's confronted about moving in on the Little Red Wagon's territory, Cam is ready to put up a fight. A fight that quickly evolves into steamy kissing match.

I loved the competitive bantering between Zoey and Cam. It made the story fun to read. I can't wait for the next book in the series! 5 Stars

Book Review: Mr. Casanova by Lila Monroe

41029846

Welcome to the Billionaire Bachelors series, where the sexiest men in the city are about to meet their match...

Hot TV star Luke Rafferty is Hollywood's newest bad boy... at least, according to the tabloids. He's been steaming up the screens as Dr. Casanova for ten years, but thanks to his ex-wife, some tricky contract negotiations, and that incident with the stethoscope (don't ask), he's suddenly on an extended vacation - with his heartthrob career on the line.

Enter Stella Lane.

A Hamptons local, she's trying to get her home renovation company off the ground; winning the job for Luke's new beachfront retreat would be her big break. And when she just happens to overhear his agent suggesting a fake relationship to give his reputation a swoon-worthy makeover, Stella sees the perfect solution to both their problems.

What's a little fake smooching between friend(ly professionals)?

Stella is determined to keep her eyes on the prize renovation and her hands OFF the hunky actor wandering shirtless through her construction site. But Luke has other ideas. Midnight skinny-dipping ideas.

If only he wasn't so heart-stompingly, panty-twistingly handsome...

Soon, sparks are flying, and they're both forgetting their kisses are just for show. But can this fake relationship weather a very real tabloid storm? Or will past betrayals and the Hollywood spotlight drive them apart before their romance has even begun?

I really enjoyed Mr. Casanova. It is by far my favorite book in the series.  There's nothing like a good romance that makes you laugh and swoon at the same time.

Stella Lane is a local Hampton's contractor.  Since the split with her ex she's been committed to making her home renovation company a success. Finding jobs have been tough so when Stella overhears a private conversation she can't help but to throw herself into the mix.

Luke Rafferty has bought a home in the Hamptons to hide out for a while.  Luke needs to take some time away from the limelight and the bad publicity that follows him after his split with his ex-wife. He needs to revamp his image if he plans on returning to the big screen and a fake relationship might help him do just that.  When Stella volunteers to be his fake girlfriend while renovating his new home, how could he say no.

Sparks, sparks and more sparks heat up the pages.  Fake relationships never truly stay fake when it comes to the Billionaire Bachelor series. Luke and Stella are another winning couple. 5 Stars!

Book Review: How to Choose a Guy in 10 Days by Lila Monroe

41009103

Stylist Gemma Jones is competing for a once-in-a-lifetime promotion. All she has to do is take some fashion-backward guy from geek to GQ-worthy. The only problem? The man in question is her hairy manwhore of a next-door neighbor. AKA Bigfoot.

Zach Morrison has zero interest in being Gemma’s makeover mannequin. Sure, it’s fun getting his smart-mouthed neighbor all riled up, but after cashing out of his tech start-up and going through an ugly break-up, he’s taking a permanent vacation. If he wants to wear sweatpants and sleep on a mattress in the corner of an empty apartment—

OK. Maybe he needs a little push in the right direction. But as Gemma races the clock to win her bet, she finds that Bigfoot’s been hiding a few things under his baggy flannel shirts. Like abs of steel, and a surprisingly big...

Heart. He has a big heart.

Soon, sparks are flying between this unlikely couple, but can Zach embrace a fresh start - however manscaped it might be? And will Gemma beat out her Instabitch rival for the top spot - and keep the truth about their bet from Zach?

How to Choose a Guy in 10 Days is a rom com with some kick butt angst.  OMG, the angst drove me nuts! In a good way, of course. You know it's coming. Your heartbeat picks up. There's a little bit of sweat developing on your upper lip. Boom! The ax falls. Gah!  This book had me chomping at the bit.

It's all begins with a bet. A bet that will end in a major promotion. Stylist Gemma Jones has her eye on the prize. All is going to plan as she makes over her "Big Foot" neighbor next door. As it turns out her once unfriendly neighbor is actually a good guy. Zach Morrison is ready for a change. He's ready to stop wallowing over his past break-up and move on with life. Gemma is the spark he needed. When sparks begin to fly Gemma can only hope they both will be laughing in ten days when the bet is over.

This is a great start to a new series. I enjoyed playful characters, the funny moments and the steamy romance! 5 Stars

Book Review: Man Candy by Lila Monroe

Man Candy (Billionaire Bachelors, #4)

Private investigator Nick Chambers is six foot two of chiseled, hunky trouble. He needs a fake fiancée to help him go undercover at the hottest candy company around, and he picks... me?!

OK, he thinks I’m the safe, reliable choice. But what he doesn’t know is that I’ve been waiting for the chance to get out from behind my desk and indulge my Bond girl fantasies. Goodbye, Moneypenny. Hello, femme fatale!

It’s my chance to take a risk and prove I’m more than just a secretary… but I didn’t bank on the sizzlin’ hot chemistry and Nick’s lick-able abs. And between our wild cover stories, after-hours investigation, and not-so-fake romps, the line between fiction and reality is melting faster than a Hershey’s kiss in the summer sun.

Can our delicious fake relationship turn into something real? Or will my sexy sugar rush crash before we can unravel the chocolate conspiracy? Find out in the latest BILLIONAIRE BACHELOR romance from Lila Monroe!

Man Candy is an enjoyable rom-com with a dash of intrigue.  How can you not love a story that includes a sexy PI, an office manager with a penchant for James Bond and lots of chocolate. I read it in one sitting.

Nick Chambers needs a fake fiancée while investing a case of corporate espionage.  Where better to find a fake fiancée then at The Agency.  However Nick isn't interested in the usual line-up, he has his eye on Alice Jones, The Agency's office manager.

Alice has been hiding behind a desk for too long. She has bigger dreams. When Alice is given the opportunity to play fake fiancée as part of an investigation she jumps in head first. She doesn't want to miss out on one of her career fantasies.

The stakes are high as Nick and Alice investigate a possible chocolate recipe theft. Will their chemistry get in the way of finding the culprit?

Man Candy had me craving a chocolate truffles and planning my next James Bond marathon.  I loved the chemistry and the intrigue. 5 Stars

Wild Card is the much anticipated, third book in the series, romantic comedy. It's Olivia Chambers who needs a fake date this time around. I couldn't wait for Olivia's story and it delivered!

Book Review: Hot Daddy by Lila Monroe

38103886

Playboy CEO, Cal McAdams, lives life in the fast lane: hot women, hotter deals, and… a fake fiancee? I signed on to help reform his reckless image and win custody of his god-children, but I wasn’t expecting to come face-to-face (and mouth-to-mouth) with my wild Vegas hook-up from three years ago.

AKA, 6”3 of tanned muscle, sharp suits, and ‘undress me’ eyes.
AAKA, the best thigh-clenching, bed-shaking sex of my life.
AAAKA, the man who couldn’t be more off-limits if he had a uranium belt wrapped around his, um, assets.

I’ve never been one to break the rules, but Cal has me wanting to rip them up - and roll around naked on the scrap paper. But with just three weeks to turn this bachelor into a DILF, can we keep our crazy chemistry from derailing his plans? Or will gold-digging relatives, rambunctious pre-teens, and a little thing called love leave us both crashed out of the race?

Hot Daddy is a feel-good, second-chance romantic comedy. I'm addicted to romantic comedies. Hot Daddy fulfilled my need for a lighter romance that left me smiling from ear to ear.

Caleb McAdams quickly shifted from playboy, who grew up on the Formula One racing circuit to instant Daddy. He needs to reform his image if he plans on keeping his godchildren from their wicked witch of an aunt.  So, what does one sexy playboy do to reform his image, hire a fake fiancee of course.

Jules Robinson finds herself at the end of her rope. She's running out of money and an eviction notice is just days away. She had to leave her last job after a dick swinging copier incident. When an job opportunity comes her way to spend 10 days as a fake fiance she jumps at it.

What Jules wasn't expecting was to come face-to-face with her Vegas hook-up from three years ago.  Her job just got a little more difficult because she has to find a way to keep her panties on.

Hot Daddy pulled me in from the first chapter. Its a fast paced read with plenty of swooning and just the right amount of heart. 5 Stars!

Book Review: Very Irresistible Playboy (VIP) by Lila Monroe

36588578

I know what it takes to keep a billionaire in line, but signing up for seven days in close quarters with this Very Irresistible Playboy? It’s just asking for trouble. The kind of thrilling, reckless trouble I could use a little more of since my career is currently ass-backwards in a mud bath with six shih-tzus (don’t ask).

So do I:
a) Take the job, and bicker wildly every step of the way?
b) Embark on a mad-cap treasure hunt to claim his billion-dollar inheritance?
c) Try my hardest not to fall head-over-heels in love with him and wind up having the best sex of my life?
d) All of the above?

Something tells me I’m about to be way out of my league… and under the most handsome, infuriating man I’ve ever met. But with a fortune on the line, can we beat out his crazy relatives to win the prize? And will our fake relationship be game over at the finish line?

Find out in the new sexy, hilarious romantic comedy from Lila Monroe!
I loved, loved, loved Very Irresistible Playboy.  It's a laugh-out-loud adventure filled romance. Get ready to meet Max Carlisle, your very irresistible billionaire bachelor. He's rich, smart and devastatingly handsome but doesn't do long-term relationships. Hence his need for a date to his grandfather's birthday party in Palm Beach. What does a billionaire playboy do when he needs a date without commitments? He hires one of course.

Meet Hallie Gage, photographer without a camera.  Hallie had left her job to pursue her dream as a professional photographer. It came to a sudden halt after an incident with some pesky shih-tzus and a lake.  Hallie is given an opportunity to make connections in the business as a date for hire.  Sounds like an opportunity of a lifetime if she can keep her heart in check.

What Max and Hallie hadn't been prepared for was an unexpected adventure in a mad-cap treasure hunt. Max's future in on the line in more ways than one.

There's much more to Max than the very cocky playboy we first meet.  Max takes his swooniness up a notch with his change of heart on his career focus.  Hallie's leap of faith puts her right into his arms. VIP is book one in the series and it hit the mark! I can't wait for what comes next. 5 Stars

Book Review: Christmas with the Billionaire by Lila Monroe

Christmas with the Billionaire (Lucky in Love, #6)

Spice up the holiday season with the hilarious new holiday novella from Lila Monroe.

Dressing up as a sexy elf to sing Christmas hits isn’t exactly the glittering Broadway career I had planned. The only thing more humiliating than my outfit is coming face-to-face with Oliver Gage, the sexy big-shot theatre producer who just crushed my dreams. He’s arrogant, infuriating… and did I mention how sexy he is?

I’ve sworn never to get comfy on the casting couch, but when we’re snowed in together upstate, it’s looking like a pretty good place to spend the night. Soon, sparks - and my panties - are flying.

Who said Christmas only had to come once a year?

Haven't read Christmas with the Billionaire yet? You should! I've been looking for a quick pick me up holiday style and this novella did just that! It's a sexy, humorous feel-good holiday treat.

Jill Simon had just told off a major theatre producer because he wasn't paying attention to her audition and now finds herself performing as a sexy elf at the same party he's attending. What are the chances?

When the train Jill is taking after the party gets snowed in, it's the sexy billionaire producer to the rescue. Oliver (aka sexy billionaire producer) can't leave Jill on the train. He invites her to a place nearby until they can get back to the city. Surprise it's Oliver's Parents home. It only gets interesting from there.

Sparks fly but what happens when Jill gets the part in Oliver's play? Was it because of her talent on stage or the casting couch? I love the angst. The story was sweet and funny!! 5 Stars

Book Review: Mr. Right-Now by Lila Monroe

Mr Right-Now
“I’m face-down in forty glorious inches of cock cake, seriously reassessing my life choices, when suddenly I hear it. The voice that launched a thousand teenage boy-band dreams. My #1 crush, Drew Delaney himself.”

Ten years ago, Drew was boy-band royalty: the subject of a million teenage fantasies - and the guy next door. He was so far out of my league, I couldn’t see him for stars, but now I’m back in town for our high-school reunion, guess who I run into but Mr. Right-Now himself…

Older. Hotter. And still sexy enough to make me forget about the glittery white frosting currently smeared across my chest.

Sparks are flying, and so are my panties, and soon, our trip down memory lane has taken a detour to ‘oh my god, don’t stop!’. Population: me.

But can I turn Mr. Right-Now into Mr. Forever? Or will crazed fans, vicious yoga moms, and three dozen cock-sicles (don’t ask) doom our romance to the ‘Where are they now?’ section of MTV’s greatest hits?

You’ll be begging for a taste of Lila Monroe’s new sexy, laugh-out-loud summer romance!

Mr. Right-Now is a hilariously sweet rom-com with just the right amount of dirty. This story had me snort laughing by the second chapter. It only got better when an steamy relationship forms between a dirty baker who's starting over and former boy-band megastar who finds himself tempted by his past.

Maggie Hayes returns home after her bakery of her dreams was run out of town after a big shot celebrity chef opened up nearby. Now she's starting over while living at home with her parents. Not where she wants to be in life especially with her high school reunion right around the corner.

After a phallic cake mishap, Maggie finds herself looking up at Drew Delaney. The Drew Delaney from her teenage dream band Category 5. Drew has moved on from his glory days and now writes and produce for other bands. He's also very interested in getting better acquainted with Maggie.

The story is funny! Nothing goes as planned for these two. Their chemistry keeps their relationship moving forward even though Maggie had originally planned this to be a temporary arrangement. Things heat up in the kitchen until they are both tempted by career opportunities.

I loved that the story is written in Maggie and Drew's POVs. I felt a camaraderie with Maggie and I couldn't get enough of Drew. 5 Stars

Book Review: Lovestruck by Lila Monroe

Lovestruck
One week in paradise with the one man I can’t resist…

Will Cassidy is hot, infuriating, and the guy behind the biggest heart-stomping humiliation of my life. He’s also hosting my BFF’s destination wedding at his super-luxe tropical resort, so short of a hurricane or outbreak of the plague (here’s hoping), I’m stuck within t̶o̶n̶g̶u̶e̶’s̶ arm's reach of him for the next seven days.

But I’m not a naive college girl anymore, and there’s no way I’m falling for his (many) charms again. I just have to ignore the romantic wedding shenanigans, his miraculous abs, all those intimate beach sunsets... And did I mention those abs?

Maybe a wild vacation fling is exactly what I need to even the score... But between the scorching chemistry and all-inclusive margaritas, I’m getting drunk on love. Which definitely isn’t part of the plan.

Can I keep my heart zipped - even if my bikini bottoms are lost somewhere on that nude beach? And how do you let go of the past when you’re holding on tight to the past’s (very ripped) torso?

Lovestruck is a sexy second-chance romantic comedy. There's plenty of laughs, sexual tension and angst before you get to the happy tears. It all began with a love letter that sadly went astray. It's five years later and the once friends are reunited for their friends destination wedding.

Ruby Walters is on her way to her best friends destination wedding when she runs into an ex-college friend, Will Cassidy. Will is the one person she never intended to see again after he hurt her deeply. To her further dismay she discovers Will is heading to the same wedding. Ruby wants to stay away from Will but he keeps finding ways of catching her attention. It also doesn't hurt that he's drool worthy.  Ruby decides that a fling won't hurt as long as she keeps her heart out of the equation.

Lovestruck has it's share of misunderstandings that drive a wedge between Ruby and Will. But misunderstanding aren't the only things that get in the way, so does strip pool games, fire alarms and jelly fish. Can the Ruby and Will write over the bad stuff and moving forward with the good?

The story sucked me in. Half way through the book I couldn't put it down until I was finished. The angst had me on edge but there were plenty of happy tears by the end. 5 Stars!

Book Review: Bet Me by Lila Monroe

Bet Me

What happens when your sex strike goes viral -- and suddenly every man in town has their eye on your prize?

All I wanted was little old-fashioned romance. After a parade of Tinder disasters who think chivalry is giving me a pearl necklace on the first date, I made a pledge: until guys step up their game, this girl is off the market.

But one bottle of chardonnay later, and my drunken rant has gone viral. I’m the most famous person NOT having sex since the Jonas Brothers put on their purity rings. A men’s magazine has even put a bounty on my (ahem) maidenhead: fifty Gs to whoever makes me break the drought.

Be careful what you wish for...

Now my office looks like an explosion in a Hallmark factory, I’ve got guys lining up to sweep me off my feet - and the one man I want is most definitely off-limits. Jake Weston is a player through and through. He’s also the only one who sees through the mayhem to the real me, but how can I trust he’s not just out to claim the glory?

And how will I make it through the strike without scratching the itch - especially when that itch looks so damn good out of his suit?

The thrill of the chaste has never been so sexy in Lila Monroe’s hilarious, hot new romantic read!

Bet Me is a humorous, second-chance love story. The characters snarky banter had me laughing out loud. What I love the most was the duel POV that provide heart felt moments.

Lizzie is an assistant curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She is planning her debut as lead curator of a "Golden Age of Hollywood" exhibition. Jake Weston is assigned to assist Lizzie with procuring the more difficult pieces she'll need for the show. As it turns out this isn't the first time Jake and Lizzie have crossed paths. They had a one time embarrassingly, funny hook-up with Jake passing out between Lizzie's legs. Although Lizzie is still attracted to Jake she wants nothing to do with the cynical man who doesn't believe in romance.

Lizzie has combed Tinder for romance. All she wants to be is wooed but all she's received are a few pearl necklaces. After a final failed date Lizzie goes on a drunkin' recording, intended for her sister, vowing to take herself off the market until the men of New York get their acts together. The recording goes viral and Lizzie finds herself in a new predicament. Her strikes is having the opposite effect, now she's attracting the guys wh o see her as some kind of conquest. Is Jake just another conquest seeker? Or is there more to him than meets the eye?

I loved Bet Me. Lizzie is an old soul who looking for romance in all the wrong places. Her noble vow doesn't take long to become a comedy of errors (more bad dates). I loved the chemistry between Jake and Lizzie. Although they had different ideas regarding romance they meshed. The story is funny, sweet and memorable. 5 Stars!

Review: Get Lucky by Lila Monroe

Get Lucky

What happens when you wake up in a hotel suite next to a gorgeous naked man with absolutely no memory of the past twelve hours?

I guess it's true what they say. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Or at least I hope it stays here. The Romantic Style convention was meant to be a weekend of raucous fun with friends, sun, and enough poolside margaritas to forget about my ex. But now, instead of meeting my fans and signing books, I'm stuck with cocky divorce lawyer Nate Wexler. He's arrogant, infuriating, and I can't keep my hands off of him. Judging by the state of our hotel room, last night was wild. I just wish I could remember it.

A pair of matching tattoos. A cheap wedding veil. A half empty box of glow in the dark condoms.

What the hell just happened?

Viva Las Vegas! When two opposites attract, mix in champagne and tequila, a crazy night of mayhem ensues.

Vegas is the place to let your hair down and have fun. Julia Stevens is romance author attending The Romantic Style convention. She's ready to enjoy the company of good friends when she runs smack dab into cranky Nate Wexler, an obnoxious divorce attorney. Nate is in Vegas to attend his best friends wedding, even with his anti-love attitude. It isn't love at first sight but it doesn't take more than a few drinks to draw them together.

What ensues next is a drunken escapade including glow in the dark condoms, crazy tattoos, fake abduction, real abduction and a possible wedding.

When Nate and Julia wake up the next morning they struggle to piece together the previous night. They soon discover that they may have had a little too much fun dancing around in the hotel fountain and worry what other mayhem occurred. You won't believe what happens next.

Get Lucky is a sexy rom-com that will keep you laughing until it hurts. I know, I know, another crazy Vegas Story, right? Yes and No . Yes, the story takes place in Vegas and there is plenty of drunken madness but really the answer is No. The craziness allows for Julia and Nate to let down their walls and find what makes them happy. The story is told in both POV, which I really enjoyed. I love Julia, she's a successful, sexy, quirky nerd with a big heart. She doesn't allow her divorce to keep her down. She's even able to win over Nate, the arrogant jerk face and save the day at the end. 5 Stars!

Review: Rugged by Lila Monroe

Rugged
Laurel Young needs a plan, and fast. After her reality TV boss has a major meltdown, not-so-funemployment seems inevitable--unless she can pitch the idea of a lifetime. When she sees Flint McKay's audition tape - flanneled, handsome as hell, and building a house with his own two hands - she knows she's found her secret weapon. The women of America are going to love him, especially if she can convince him to try building without the flannel shirt.

Only problem is, Flint didn’t make that tape - and he has zero interest in trading the wilds of Western Massachusetts for the bright lights of Hollywood. But Laurel isn’t the kind of girl to take no for an answer. Soon, she's knee-deep in rustic charm, and getting plenty of hands-on experience. And it turns out, this city girl and country guy may have a few things in common after all, like crazy hot chemistry, a wild side, and a weakness for good whiskey...

But can their behind-the-scenes connection last once the world falls in love with Flint? And will this be the big break both of them need- or leave them in the dirt?

Find out in Lila Monroe’s fun, sexy new novel!

*This is a stand-alone novel with HEA. No cliff-hangers!*

What happens when Ms. Hollywood meets Mr. Backwoods, a boat load of angst and sexual tension.
Laurel Young finds herself in search of a new Reality TV show, thanks to the quick departure of her former boss. She combs through audition tapes until she discovers a sexy, woodsy handyman who is destined to be the next big thing, or so she hopes.  Flint McKay is not the Hollywood type, he isn’t looking for temporary fame that could destroy his privacy but with the possibility of saving his legacy he goes all in.

Laurel has found her man. No, I mean her show. Laurel has found her show and now has to survive a month of staring at very sexy, sometimes broody Flint McKay without touching. Just  when the filming is coming to an end and the possibility that the sexual tension can finally be pursued, BAM. Lila Monroe throws in a wrench and it's oh so angsty.

Rugged is my new favorite book by Lila, it's witty, steamy and entertaining. I laughed my butt off. I love Laurel, she's got spunk. She chases after her dream with integrity. She's also witty and devoted to the eighty's, what more could you want from your heroine. Flint is a mans man, he's all Alpha and broody. Plus Flint's smart and caring. There are also lessons learned and butts kicked. 5 Stars!
Rugged is a stand-alone story with a HEA and no cliff hangers.

Review: Snowed In by Lila Monroe

Snowed In (Christmas With A Billionaire Novella)

Throwing a blow-out bash for hot rockstar-turned-music exec Ace Carmichael should be as easy as pecan pie. It’s my chance to prove my party-planning skills, but this bad boy client isn’t making life simple with his broody looks and aversion to shirts. If only he'd stop tempting me to jingle all the way ... to his hot tub ... this could be my big break.

But thanks to four feet of snow, the event of the year is suddenly a party for two. So deck the halls with a dangerously sexy tattooed rocker, a dozen cases of champagne and … me.

When the snow melts, Santa might not be the only one who’s coming. So what’s it going to be this year: naughty or nice?he

It's the holiday season and Paige Bartlett scores a high profile party planning job in Colorado. She'll be working for the former sexy rockstar, now the hot jerk music exec Ace Carmichael. Well that was the plan until the they find themselves snowed in and all bets of professionalism are off.

Paige is the good sister, the one that follows all her Mother's rules, the one who is straight laced, until she meets Ace. Paige finds herself throwing out all the rules when she's with Ace.Their attraction melts the words right off the page. But can Ace be more than a fling since they are worlds apart?

I'm a sucker for holiday stories and Snowed In fits the bill. It's humorous, sexy and filled with odd references. I loved it! Leave it to Lila Monroe to resurrect Dudley Do-Right, have me googling Peggy Carter and adding The Shining to my TBR list. Snowed In brings romance to the holidays and left me all warm and fuzzy inside (may or may not be due to the steamy escapades). 5 Hot Tub Stars!

Review: Billionaire With a Twist Part Three by Lila Monroe

Billionaire With a Twist Part Three

Warning: love on the rocks.

Sexy bourbon billionaire Hunter Knox hired me to turn around the failing family business, but I wound up losing him the company he loves. Now I have to make it right - which won't be easy when he's off the grid at a cabin in the woods, drinking himself into a sexy rugged stupor.

But if there's one thing I know, it's that Hunter is worth a shot. Or two. He better line them up, because after tonight, I'm never drinking again.

Billionaire with a Twist 3 delivers a fast paced, smack down twist. I could not put this book down. This is by far my favorite Lila Monroe series.

Times are tough for Ally. She made a drunken mistake that assisted with the possible end of the Knox Bourbon legacy.  After viewing the new, horrific Knox Bourbon commercial, Ally decides she has to make things right but first she will need to win back Hunter's trust.

This story is a real page turner. There were some interesting predicaments that led me to read quicker. I found myself cheering on Ally from start to finish. When she stood up for herself I started fist punching the air. Needless to say I really enjoyed the story. Lila Monroe continues to surprise me with her creative plots. She always leaves me smiling at the end.

Review: Billionaire With a Twist Part Two by Lila Monroe

Billionaire With a Twist Part Two

He’s dirty – no chaser.

Billionaire Hunter Knox hired me to save his family bourbon business: I’ve won the big pitch, but now trouble is only just beginning. I’m on a tightrope trying to keep my career from crashing out like a coed after a dozen jaeger shots, and I’ve made it clear to Hunter, our sexy one-night fling can't be repeated.

So what does the guy do? Turns around and starts dating my sister.

Pour me a double.

Billionaire with a Twist 2 is an emotional backwards roller coaster ride. To get a true sense of the crazy, emotional ride Lila Monroe induces while reading this story here are my feeling while reading:

I am:
a little hurt , jealous
somewhat stressed
definitely confounded
excited, redeemed
stir crazy (why? why? no more drinking when on roof tops)
ecstatic, relieved
happy,
naughty,
happy,
concerned
and
#*%@!

This the continuation of Ally and Hunter's story and it's a doozy! Ally drives me crazy at the beginning, middle and end of the story but that's what makes her a awesome heroine. She also reminds us that it's important to watch our liquor intake especially when your hurting. Yes it's too easy to fall into that trap. Ally tumbles down that road head first without a parachute. Okay, enough with the metaphors. Read this series! I can't wait for the redemption, no I mean the conclusion.

Review: Billionaire With a Twist by Lila Monroe

Billionaire With a Twist

Billionaire Hunter Knox comes straight up – with a side of trouble.

Heir to a bourbon fortune, he’s hired my ad agency to save his family business. It’s my chance to win a star client and prove I can play with the big boys, until my one-night stand comes back to haunt me like the ultimate hangover.

Now I have to think up a killer campaign, and keep from falling into bed with Hunter again. Which is easier said than done when he’s the most handsome, arrogant, downright sexiest man
I’ve ever met.

I’m going to need another drink

Holy Hell! It's the cliffhangers of all cliffhangers. Lila Monroe knows how to tangle you in her story and leaves you hanging, gasping and waiting anxiously for the next book.

Allison Barlett has been working for an advertising company for two years. Her ideas are repeatedly overlooked. An opportunity presents it's self and Allison is ready to present the best campaign idea for Knox whiskey. However there are two little obstacles she'll have to overcome before she can take on the advertisement campaign and make a name for herself.

  • Obstacle one: her douchebro competitors, three obnoxious co-worker competing for the same campaign
  • Obstacle two: Hunter Knox, the CEO and owner of Knox whiskey is also Allison's one night stand from the previous evening.
After winning over the advertisement campaign, Allison discovers that her campaign maybe Hunter's last hope. No pressure, Allison has her hands full.

Allison is a strong, independent woman fighting for her place in the male dominated advertising company. Her archenemies, the douchebro's are right out of a bad 80's movie. I keep envisioning pink polo's and lots of hair gel. Allison is smart, witty and I love her retorts. Hunter remains a hot, sexy mystery. I can't wait for the next book, I need more Hunter and Allison.
