Review: Bind Me (Capture Me, #2) by Anna Zaires

Bind Me is the continuation of Lucas and Yulia's story. It's intense, angsty and filled with twists and turns. Lucas has made up his mind and he wants Yulia but first he must uncover the organization that made her a spy. Yulia has to resist Lucas in order to protect her secret. However, Lucas is relentless, he wants to remove all barriers in order to keep Yulia safe and exact revenge.

This story is addicting. If you read the Twist Me series, some of the lingering questions regarding Lucas and Yulia's relationship are answered. Lucas is a man on a mission, he's going to keep Yulia for himself. He's no longer the cold hearted mercenary, he's become the protective, possessive and jealous capture.Yulia is doing her best to stay focused on escaping. She doesn't want to have feelings for her capture however she's in a constant internal struggle with her conscience. There's also a making of a possible love triangle. Rosa, the estate maid, is now fighting for center stage. I can only image what will come next.

Once again Anna Zaires leaves us on the edge of our seats. The cliffhanger is familiar if you had read Twist Me but none the less frustrating. I can't wait for the final book. There is a big misunderstanding that left my eye twitching. 5 Stars!

I've been not-so-patiently waiting for the conclusion of the Heart's Revenge series. The first book left an open wound with Essie continuing her quest for revenge. Essie had dedicated five years seeking out revenge for her brother. It took over her life, it engulfed her and left her in a bad place. Essie's brother had been her world, her security and safety and when it was quickly taken away she had nothing left. Aiden had lost his family as well but as he was forced to take over the family business where he was able to find solace.

Essie is so far lost that she can't move past her plans for revenge. Her spirit is truly broken. Aiden is a symbol of strength and fortitude but can he be enough to bring back Essie from the brink of despair?

The story is refreshing. It doesn't center around deceit but understanding. Aiden is well aware of Essie. He knows that she's has a reason for coming forward but his heart wants what it wants. He understands he pain and does what he can to move them forward together.

Cole Jaimes put his heart on his sleeve with his story of strength, forgiveness and love. Essie's journey is a difficult one but fate intervened and provided her with the closure and forgiveness she needed to move past despair. The best was saved for last with the steamy Epilogue. 4 Stars!

Dani couldn’t catch her breath. Ransom was insatiable, devouring her mouth like a man starved. She curled her arms around his neck, throwing herself into his dark kiss, exhilarated by his need for her, and hers for him.

Of the few boyfriends she’d had, none had affected her like this man—a near stranger. Someone who was, as far as she could tell, damaged. And not an average, run-of-the-mill kind of damage that nearly everyone in the world experienced.

This was soul-deep. His heart hadn’t just broken. It’d been shattered. And it was obvious to her that he was desperately searching for something to numb the pain. Help him forget. He’d chosen booze, and because of her own past demons, she hated it. Which was why, when he’d confessed his affliction, she’d drawn a line, putting an end to his self-abuse.

Her need to help, to fix, was in full-effect. Her ex always said it was her worst quality. Told her on numerous occasions that she was a fool for caring so much. That it would be her downfall.

Can a relationship work or will their careers take over?

There is so much beauty in this story. Ella comes into her own, letting go of the negative and moving past her insecurities. I cried through the last three chapters. There is a little bit of Ella in all of us and I hope we all have a Jake to feed us brownies. 5 Savory Stars.
