Book Review: Ashton Scott by Nina Levine

It was a bad start to my week.
Or shall I say, he was a bad start to my week.
Ashton Scott.
Presumptuous, arrogant asshole.
He barrelled into my office and demanded I sell him my property.
I said no. Never.
He said everything is for sale.
He also said he always gets what he wants.
Well, Ashton Scott can kiss my ass. He’s not getting this.
There's one problem with that.
The man just doesn’t give up. And now he’s decided he wants me, too.
He’s sexy AF.
He wears a suit like nobody’s business.
And his bossiness turns me on in ways I can’t even understand.
But I’m not going down without a fight.
Or at least, I wasn't...
My fight is what Ashton loves the most.

Who wants an Alpha a--hole who's sexy and dominate in and outside of the bedroom?  If yes, meet Ashton Scott! This book is a real page turner. There are several entangled stories that revolve around Ashton.   The main story is his budding relationship with Lorelei Winters.  Ashton and Lorelei are both strong-willed and controlling. Their biting words only drive them closer. Their chemistry is intense. Their relationship is steamy with plenty of angst thrown in for good measure. 

Ashton wants what he wants and fights to the end. He has his sights set on Lorelei and has no plans on losing. However Ashton has a huge learning curve. He's not use to sparing with women and losing.  Lorelei puts him in his place. I really enjoyed not only Ashton and Lorelei's story but also Ashton and his best friend Jack's story.  Jack is broken and Ashton will do anything to help him.  I hope this isn't the last time we hear about Jack. 5 Stars! 

Review: Be the One (Crave #2) by Nina Levine

Jett Vaughn has one thing on his mind these days - Presley Hart. He will do anything it takes to make her his. At least, he thinks he will.

Presley Hart wants one thing in life - a man who will make her his number one. After being married to a man who never put her first, she swore she'd never settle for second best again. At least, she thought she wouldn't.

When Jett's life comes crashing down around him, his flaws are laid bare for all to see. Presley stands by her man but there's only so much she can do to help him. She loves him and wants to be with him but she has her limits and Jett's about to reach them.

In the midst of hurt, loss and destruction, can love win out? Can a man who is struggling to find his way, show the woman he loves just how much he wants her to be the one? Or is there only so much a heart can take before enough's enough?

You will need a tissue box for this emotional ride! Nina Levine provides a good heart-wrenching cry with 'Be the One'.

Jett and Presley are having a rough start to their relationship. They both carry around baggage from their past that influences their current relationship. Presley just ended a bad marriage with a rock star and wasn't expecting to enter into a new relationship so quickly with another rock star. (I don’t think I would mind) Jett is clueless on how to be in a relationship. They struggle to find a happy median. Jett’s band is also in a time of transition. The band faces false accusations, relationship strife and a burdening commitment. It all comes to ahead when tragedy strikes. Can Jett and Presley’s relationship survive?

The story is about a new relationship that has to overcome many challenges. Jett and Presley have to face their fears in order to move forward. Their fears are valid and make the story very personal. The second half of the book is an emotional tearjerker and takes the book from 4 stars to 5 stars. The lessons learned make this book well worth the read!

I love a book that has chemistry written all over it! Jett Vaughn and Presley Hart have chemistry that hooks you in and doesn't let you put the book down. This is a short story that keeps you turning the pages.

When a one night stand becomes something more, Presley does her best to fight her feelings and end any further relationship. She had been hurt in the past by a Rock Star and she isn't ready to try again. Presley is a strong, independent and honest woman, who takes life by the balls!

Jett is nothing but determined to win Presley over. He sneaks his way into her life. He's open and honest with her and boy does he go all 'Alpha' when someone else shows interest in Presley.  Jett is a deluxe 'Alpha Male'.

Presley doesn't share all her secrets with Jett. Unfortunately, her secret is also involved in another tangled mess with Jett's band. The ending is cliffhanger but it doesn't leave you in angst. I'm ready for the next in the Crave series! Nina Levine never lets us down.
