Book Review: The Romeo Effect by Lila Monroe

Seth Harding is a real-life cupid. If you get trapped in an elevator with a handsome stranger, or stranded on a moonlit cruise with the man of your dreams, chances are, it’s not fate bringing the two of you together, it’s Seth somewhere, pulling the strings.

At least, that’s what I find out, when someone hires Seth to help win my heart. It would be romantic… if he weren’t all wrong for me. And Mr Right…?

Well, he might just be the guy behind the scenes.

Suddenly, my faith in soulmates is hitting a major complication. Seth is cynical, and argumentative… and seriously irresistible. Soon, the sparks between us are impossible to ignore. But can this hopeful romantic really find love with a man who engineers happily-ever-afters for a living? And when all the tricks and tests are stripped away, what makes two people truly meant to be?

The Romeo Effect had me at Nathan's hotdogs.  The story is a light, sexy rom-com with a New York edge.
Seth Harding is the King of Meet-Cutes, skilled at romantic staging. Seth is hired by James, as a professional Romeo, to engineer a meet up with his obession, April. Let's just say it's a fail.

After a brief encounter at April's business, she can't get the hot, witty heartthrob out of her head. Although fate tried to point her in another direction, she discovers the truth and Seth.

Seth has a strict rule about dating clients, but even he can't ignore the chemistry between him and April. Can Seth give up his bachelor life style and possibly his job for true love? Read the book!

I fell hard for Seth. He has all the right intentions. He just needed his own meet-cute to find his match. I would love for Seth's boss, Winston, to get his own story. Winston reminds me of an old mafia boss who plays cupid. Maybe even just a little novella.  Need a sweet rom-com to brighten up your day? Look no further! 5
