Book Review: Holiday for Hire by Laurelin Paige & Kayti McGee

Holiday for Hire

After Jane Osborne is unceremoniously dumped by a rich man, and then invited to his Christmas Eve wedding, she decides to hire a date from Craigslist and pass him off as an upgrade.

Fake-boyfriend for hire Ian Brooks ends up being a delightful surprise—and a mysterious stranger she's definitely met before.

Could he be her Christmas wish come true?

This is a short holiday romance. I'm not sure about this one. Usually I love holiday romance novellas but I wasn't able to relate to the heroine even a little.  She was overtly logical and somewhat vindictive. Love was no more than a contact. When her last relationship failed and she's invited to his wedding, she hires a date. She plans on sculpting him to her standards. She soon discovers that there is more to life beyond social standings. 3 Stars
