Misadventures of a City Girl is a short and steamy, passionate and heartfelt mismatched romance. I really enjoyed this story of opposites attracting.
Madison Atwood is fresh off a divorce needing an escape. She's hounded by paparazzi's and tabloids, She decides to spend four weeks at a Northern California retreat. After she arrives she finds herself out of her element and decides to take a walk, wanting to get away from the crowd. She finds a hot spring to skinny dip.
Luke Dawson prefers to live off the grid. He needs to stay away from people. He built his home, an escape, a haven from the outside world which has been breached by a city girl skinny dipping on his mountain.
Their brief encounter sends Madison looking for the sexy mountain man and finding much, much more.
Luke suffers from PTSD from his career in the military. He's chosen a life of solitude to cope with daily life. Madison is lost after her divorce, her hotshot husband's infidelity had taken her by surprise. Luke and Madison came from very different worlds but are immediately drawn together. It's sexy and heartwarming. They want a relationship but can they find their middle ground?
I ate up this story. It's a steamy, feel-good story. Luke is nothing but swoony. 5 Stars!
