Raised on fairytales and dreams of true love, Arden Winger left for college with a smile on her face and a happy, hopeful heart. Fast-forward seven years and that small town is behind her, but not the baggage she’s been carrying since she left.
Just a city boy…
It’s not that Exton Alexander had anything against relationships—he just never had the desire to try. Not necessarily jaded, Exton considered himself a realist. Little did he know, the one woman that would change everything was about to rock his world. This Alpha male knows the second he lays eyes on her that Arden is special-- now he just has to work past her defenses.
Strictly Temporary is Volume One. Volume Two will arrive in February. Arden & Exton's story will be resolved in book two- but the temporary series will continue after that with different characters.
I couldn't put this story down. This is a girl meets boy, girl is unable to accept that the boy is not strictly temporary, boy fights hard for girl story. Arden Winger was bullied, to a whole new level, by former classmates. She runs from her small town past and moves to Los Angeles. Arden is emotionally crippled and has built a fortress around her heart. At one time Arden enjoyed romance novels, she wanted to be a writer and now she is working for a building firm with a degree in Business.
Exton Alexander is a former playboy with a infamous past. Exton goes Alpha when he falls for Arden. No matter how Arden tries to push Exton away, he keeps fighting for a relationship.
Exton is a HOT name. I conjure up the most delicious Alpha male image simple from the name. Although volume one is short, it pacts a big punch. Arden is broken, she has lost all self-confidence due to her past. She can't accept Exton's feelings because she can't open heart. I love that Exton is a fighter, it would be much easier to give up and move on after being pushed away so many times. When Arden's past comes back to haunt her, we end in a CLIFFHANGER! I'm totally on board with this series! Bring it on!
It doesn't hurt they shared some of my favorite foods!
