Ruby O’Brien is no damsel in distress.

As the owner of Ruby’s Lounge, the Capital’s best-kept secret, she doesn’t follow the rules, she makes them. Few take the risk of crossing the sharp redheaded CEO and those who do, live to regret it. With the help of her UCC friends, she balances her protective nature with her fierce business prowess. Life and the Lounge cohabit in perfect harmony. Until her past comes back to burst her carefully sculpted bubble.

Joshua Becker fell in love for the first time at the age of seventeen. When his high school sweetheart cut off all communication on the day he left for college, he decided to move on.

He failed.

When a business call leads him straight to Ruby’s Lounge, his entire life goes up in bright, red, fiery flames.

Discarded is the third book in the UCC Saga. It's a second chance romance with fiery! This story pulled on heart strings. It's Ruby's turn to give up her secrets.

Ruby O'Brien is the owner of Ruby's Lounge and protector of her girls. She wears an armored suit to protect her heart after her high school sweetheart left her without a word more than twelve years ago.

When Joshua Becker left for college he lost contact with his firefly, Ruby O'Brien.  It's twelve years later and Joshua finds himself at Ruby's Lounge being hired to fix her pipes. Finding Ruby again leads him to a surprising discovery, that he's a dad.

Joshua wants his family back but Ruby is hiding a secret that could change his mind.

I really enjoyed Discarded. Ruby and Joshua are strong characters but naturally compromise. Ruby let's Joshua back into her heart but she doesn't change who or what she is. 5 Stars
