Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity's notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn't expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity's recollection of what really happened the day her daughter died.
Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents would devastate the already grieving father. But as Lowen's feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife's words. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue to love her.
Verity is a sinister, yet oddly romantic thriller. You will not be able to put down this story until it's over. The author did an amazing job creating a story will all the dark, skin crawling chills. The descriptions sent shivers up my spine. The ending left me in a tizzy.
Lowen has been hired to finish writing a series by Verity Crawford. Verity had been injured in a car accident and is not capable of finishing her work. Lowen is invited to the Crawford's home to sort through Verity's notes for the remaining books. She however finds more than she expected.
The ending left my eye twitching. This is a great story for a book club. It will definitely spark conversation. If you enjoy dark romances or want a change of pace, read this book! 5 Stars
