Book Review: Soulmate by Katie McCoy

Five guys. One bar. And a whole heap of sexy trouble...

Sawyer Landry is sexy, rugged, charming… and did I mention sexy? Back in college, we were best of friends - which meant I secretly hid an epic unrequited crush, while he dated every other girl on campus… and then told me all about it the morning after.
Now I’m back in Chicago for the first time in years, and Sawyer is determined to rekindle our friendship. I swore, I wouldn’t put my life (and heart) on hold for him again, but just one look at his handsome face and I  now, he’s stillthe only man for me.
But this time, things are going to be different. No more sitting around, waiting for him to realize his dream woman is right in front of him. No, I’m going to make him see, I’m not just one of the guys anymore.
But can I really go from sidekick to soulmate? And will this playboy bachelor realize, true love is waiting - if he’d only take a chance?

Soulmate is book 4 in the Rascals series. It's a friends to friends-with-benefits to eventually lovers romance.  It's Sawyer's turn to find love once he moves past his fear of relationships.  The story had me cheering hard for Gabi.  She's a real fighter. Gabi and Sawyer have a connection that kept me turning the pages.

Gabrielle 'Gabi' Harris has returned home after five years and had no plans on reviving her friendship with her best friend Sawyer until he saved her. She had ghosted Sawyer when she moved away, she had no choice. It hurt too much to be friends when she really wanted to be with him. Sawyer had safely tucked her away into his best friend pocket.

Gabi had always been off limits and Sawyer was determined to keep it that way. Until he finally took note of Gabi's curves. Sawyer is afraid of commitment after witnessing his parents failures. Though, he was all in for a friends-with-benefits option. It doesn't take long for the benefits to develop into something more but can Sawyer move past his fears?

I'm going to be 100% truthful, I can't wait for Dante and Hayley's story!! I ate up any tiny morsel the author fed us about the not-so-couple. I enjoyed Gabi and Sawyer's story but the back ground drama kept me wanting more. 4 stars
