Book Review: Siren in the City by Lexi Blake

Siren in the City (Texas Sirens, #2)

Jack and Sam married Abby. It was supposed to be for forever, but lately Abby wonders where her alpha male has gone. Jack has retreated and life has become decidedly vanilla. It isn't the true marriage she and Sam wanted. Sam and Abby know the time has come to fight for what they need.
A call from his mentor forces Jack to revisit the club where he discovered his sexuality. Jack's half-brother is in the city and interested in a little blackmail. Can Jack handle two defiant subs and a brother in need of some tough love?
Sometimes all it takes to find the way home is a little love and a lot of mischief.

Come back to the beginning and revisit some of your favorite old characters or find new ones to love. Siren in the City has been revised and new scenes added. And if you look closely, you’ll find not only the beginnings of the Sophie Oak world, but also the seeds of how McKay-Taggart began….

I can't say enough about Siren in the City!  This book had me on an emotional roller coaster. I could not put it down. I am so happy Lexi Blake re-released this series. I love her Master & Mercenaries Series but Texas Sirens is giving it a run for it's money.

We were introduced to Jack, Sam and Abby in Small Town Siren. This is the continuation of their love story. At the end of Small Town Siren there had been an incident that shook Jack's world. Siren in the City picks up six month later with the threesome struggling to find their normalcy. Jack tore my heart out. I cried, cried and whimpered some more.

I love Abby and Sam. When they were feeling ignored they took it upon themselves to cause holy hell.  Talk about brats. Their bratting finally gets Jacks' attention and that's when things get interesting. Their relationship changes for the better. Lexi Blake never fails to add just enough suspense to keep you on your toes. This book has just the right amount to keep you turning the pages.

We're introduced to some new characters and I can't wait for their stories! Plus Ian Taggart makes a appearance and we discover how Sanctum got it's name. I love the connection! I can't wait for the next book in this series. 5 Stars!
