Book Review: The Outskirts by T.M. Frazier

The Outskirts (The Outskirts Duet, #1)
Sawyer wants a life of her own.
Finn wants to forget he ever had one.

After a tragedy, Finn Hollis escapes
into the swamp to be alone.
That is until Sawyer Dixon shows up,
all SCORCHING HOT innocence,
claiming she owns the land less than
fifty feet from his front door.

Sawyer gets under his SKIN, but even worse?
She makes him CRAVE things.
Things Finn hasn’t thought about in a very long time.

Finn WANTS Sawyer gone.
Almost as much as he wants her in his BED.

The swamp is about to get a whole lot HOTTER.

I want to start with the cover. I usually don't critique covers because for the most part I don't find that they suite the story. However this Cover nails it! It is all Finn, sexy, lost, and broody.

I ate up The Outskirts. It is a sexy story of revival. Finn and Sawyer were living in their own darkness until together they found the light.

Sawyer had discovered a message from her mother after she passed away.  A message that leads her to Outskirt. A town where she was able to escaped from her father and the church that condones treating women as subservient, submissive and allows abuse. Sawyer's mother left her a tiny camper and a plot of swamp neighboring Finn Hollis's shack.

Finn Hollis escaped to the swamp to be alone. He's brooding over his loss, leaving his life and friends behind. After a freak Florida storm Finn can no longer ignore his new neighbor. He takes Sawyer into his home and soon into his heart. Finn soon discovers Sawyer may not be as safe as she thought. Sawyer discovers more than she excepted leaving us with a cliffhanger.

The Outskirts is part one of a duet. Right from the start I became engrossed and couldn't put it down. Finn is dark and broody. Sawyer's strength brings them both into the light. I can't wait for the next book. T.M. Frazier never fails to surprise us. 5 stars!
