Max Monroe takes us for a walk on the darker side of life by blurring the lines between good and bad. I loved, loved, loved it! It was dark but romantic. Savage but sexy. Ruthless but heartfelt. I found myself tumbling down the Wonderland hole without any need for a safety net because Matt Hadder was there to catch us.

Alex Little is twenty-five and trying to make it on her own. She had a job as a bartender that she just lost before taking on a costume gig as a rabbit.  She needs money fast to pay her rent. At her first birthday gig she ends up taking a break at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Matt can't chance the possibility Alex may have heard more than her share of private information. He quickly catches up to her and after enjoying her snarky, quick wit he decides to take a chance on her. Alex finds herself in desperate need of a job after receiving a seven day eviction notice. She turns to Matt for a job which soon has her tumbling down the Wonderland rabbit hole. 

Wonderland is a contradiction. It's not black or white but lives in the gray, dirty deeds, owed favors, greed, good deeds, charities, contributions. Max is king (although someone is trying to dethrone him). He runs Wonderland with an iron fist. Alex tumbles her way into Max's world. She proves herself time and time again to Max. Soon becoming his weakness. When Alex is threatened Max goes all Alpha and blurs the lines for love. Alex in Wonderland is hard to put down. I loved the darker elements. I loved Alex and how she opened her mind to the possibilities. 5 Stars
