One promise.
One forever.
One look and I knew Cole was mine. My dark rebel in leather. My powerhouse of passion, devastating smiles, and impulsiveness.
When his job sends him overseas, he promises to return to me.
A promise that’s destroyed in the most irrevocable way.
Two years later, an arrogant suit invades my heartbroken loneliness.
Clean-cut and stern, Trace is everything Cole wasn’t.
At first, he’s a job that will rescue my dance company. But as he intrudes on my life, our hostile relationship evolves.
He knows I’m still in love with Cole, but his dedication is my undoing.
Then a catastrophic moment changes everything.
Promises resurface.
Lies entangle.
And an impossible choice shatters my world.
I love two men, and I can only have one.
One is a Promise drew me in from the beginning and left my mind spinning in the end. I devoured this book. Every page pulled at my heart strings. I wanted a HEA and right when I thought it was going to happen, it came to a screeching halt. (I seem to have forgotten this is book 1 of 3.)
One Promise ~ One Forever
Danni Angelo wanted forever after meeting Cole Hartman. After ten months and an engagement, Cole leaves for a year contract in Iraq. He breaks his promise to return leaving Danni heart broken. Danni has been mourning for the last three years. She's unable to move forward until an insanely handsome, overbearing Neanderthal enters her life. Cantankerous casino owner, Trace Savoy has pushed his way into Danni's life, purchasing the restaurant where she works. They have intense chemistry but Trace keeps his distance. He doesn't want to come second. He wants all of her.
Danni's struggle to move on after losing Cole is painful. She still loves the man she lost. Trace is the first man to bring her back to life. Their love is intense and draws them together. Just when their relationship moves forward the past resurfaces and secrets are revealed.
I love Danni and her forwardness. She stayed true to her feelings finding the strength to open up her heart once again. A second chance at love. What an ending! I immediately needed to know when the next book will be released. It's going to be a painful wait. 5 Stars!
Side note: This story has a great song selection.
