Gabriel Miller took everything from me. My family. My innocence. My home. The only thing I have left is the determination to get back what's mine.
He thinks he's beaten me. He thinks he's won. What he doesn't realize is that every pawn has the chance to become a queen.
And the game has only just begun.

THE KNIGHT is book two in the Endgame series from New York Times bestselling author Skye Warren about revenge and seduction in the game of love.
I could not wait for The Knight. I was counting the days, the hours, the minutes until I got
answers. The Knight is the answer to The Pawn’s cliff hanger. It takes
you down a dark path of survival, retribution and revelations.
Avery has lost
everything. She’s living in a seedy hotel on the wrong side of town. Her
only hope is to regain her mother’s house that is going up for auction.
It’s where Avery feels safe and where she wants her father to spend the rest of his days.
Gabriel intentions are
far from clear at the beginning of the story. It appears that he
continues to use Avery as a pawn to inflict further retribution against
her father. Just when you give Gabriel the benefit
of the doubt, he makes it clear that he wants Avery’s father alive to
suffer the consequences of his misdeeds. Woo! Gabriel is intense and
overpowering. He holds secrets that in the end brings new revelations to
light.
The story takes darker
and darker twist and turns. Avery’s mother becomes a larger focal point
as her diary is discovered along with her secrets.
A Trojan horse had invaded Avery’s life and is playing a new dangerous game. A game that ends in another cliffhanger.
Gabriel and Avery’s
relationship is addictive. They collide in a whirlwind of secrets. Avery
is a fighter, strong and determined. She doesn’t wilt when faced with
the shocking truth. Gabriel is the dark knight,
a dangerous force that protects what's his. I loved every page, every
nuisance. The story is tantalizing, it seduces you into a world of
dark secrets and shocking revelations. I can't wait for the final book
in this series. 5 Stars!
