Book Review: Preppy: The Life and Death of Samuel Clearwater, Part Two by T.M. Frazier

Preppy: The Life and Death of Samuel Clearwater, Part Two (King, #6)
Preppy finds himself back in a world he once loved, but no longer recognizes. His dim smile can’t hide his inner turmoil and the people he views as family all suddenly feel like polite strangers.

Except for one person. A girl with dark eyes and even darker hair.
A girl who isn’t even an option.

At least, not anymore.

Dre can’t decide who she’s going to listen to. Her heart, her head, or her body. Because two out of those three things have her heading right back to Logan’s Beach. Closure is what she tells herself she’s seeking, but when she unlocks doors that were never meant to be opened she soon discovers that when it comes to Samuel Clearwater, closure might NEVER be an option.

This is book six in the King Series and the second part of Preppy and Dre's story.

Preppy Part Two is the continuation of Samuel 'Preppy' Clearwater and Andrea 'Dre' Capulet's story. I could not put this book down. The story is dark, emotional and has just enough twist. Preppy's struggle pulled on my heartstrings.

Preppy battles his way out of coma but struggles to find himself now that he's back. Preppy is broken.

Dre has returned to sell her grandmother's home in order to help her father, the man who paid for her drug rehab and sent her to college. In a twist of fate Dre's discovers that Preppy is alive. Although he proclaims she's his wife, Dre runs because previously Preppy had sent her away and broke her heart.

Preppy is heartbreakingly broken, he's lost. Preppy isn't fighting his demons, he's letting them take over. The story is an emotional roller coaster ride. There are plenty of secrets and surprises. The whole crew is back and fighting for Preppy. When it is all coming together, BOOM the author springs us with another cliffhanger. I was just waiting for it. There were hints that didn't sit well with me. Ahhhh! I can't wait for the final installment. 5 "We Take It!" Stars!
