Book Review: Searching for Disaster by Jennifer Probst

Searching for Disaster (Searching For, #4.6)
When Isabella MacKenzie tries to move on from her disastrous past, Officer William Devine is determined to show her that love is the only way to heal. This sexy enovella, the final installment in Jennifer Probst’s heartwarming Searching For series, follows the high-powered women of the popular matchmaking agency Kinnections, located in the small, picturesque town of Verily, NY.

Searching for Disaster tugged on my heart-strings. It's an emotional second-chance love story of acceptance and resolve. Sadly this is the final installment of the much loved series.

There was so much beauty in this story. Isabella 'Izzy' MacKenzie has turned around her life. She's recovered from her addictions and is starting over. Her family has taken her back with open arms. Everyone has forgiven her, except she hasn't forgiven herself. She still fears her demons may return and doesn't want to bring anyone down when they do.

Officer William 'Liam' Devine had a one night stand six years ago and he hasn't been able to move on. He couldn't have been more surprised when he walked into the popular matchmaking agency Kinnections and found Izzy six years later.

Izzy struggles with her fears. He's a cop and she's a former addict, she believes that their love is impossible. She fears hurting Liam if her demons return. She pushes him away no matter what connection they have forged. My heart ached for Izzy. She's strong but her fears get the best of her. No matter how much Liam pleads with Izzy, it's up to Izzy to forgive herself. Can she see the light before it's too late? 4 Stars!
