Book Review: Three Sweet Nothings by Nikki Sloane

Three Sweet Nothings (Blindfold Club, #5)
Five years ago, we’d been together and on fire, but the flames burned us both. Now she’s back in my life and is all my wildest fantasies in the flesh.

I want her. The desire is too powerful to argue against, but I’m not interested in what we had. This is an arrangement about pleasure and finding out who we are behind closed doors. There won’t be talk of love or any sweet nothings whispered by either of us.

This time, I’ll control the heat and make sure neither of our hearts get too close to the flames

Three Sweet Nothings is a second chance love story. The steaminess factor is off the charts! Three Sweet Nothings pulled me in from the very beginning. The characters are well developed, their emotions are vividly explored. I didn’t want the story to end. I have enjoyed every book in the Blindfold series and this one is no exception.

Kyle McCreary had returned to Chicago after his last relationship ended his career in the big apple. It was a pretty messy situation. Now back in Chicago he’s working for his parents, the city he had escaped from after graduation. Kyle’s parents weren't the only ones he had left behind when he moved to New York. It’s been five years since he has the seen his ex-girlfriend Ruby. Their relationship ended in disaster. Now she’s at his door to assist the opposing counsel.

Kyle and Ruby both have emotional challenges that in part ended their relationship five years ago with a huge misunderstanding. They both are struggling to move past the hurt from the past but they still have a strong sexual connection. Kyle wants more of Ruby but they first have to work on building trust. Kyle proposes a sexual agreement with no emotional attachments to start the healing. Yup, a proposal to explore different sexual avenues. After accepting the proposal Kyle and Ruby steam up the pages. Their exploration is sexy, dirty and intense. The only question is left is can they learn to trust each other to move forward?

I really enjoyed the story and catching up with some of the previous characters. The series continues to be one of my favorite. 5 Stars!
