Review: FOUND by Carrie Aarons

FOUND
We found each other where no else could.

Found a purpose. Found ourselves. Found love.

Again.

But then life got in the way.

Three years later and the people that we once were are nowhere to be found.

Can our love survive everything we've put it through?

Can we find a way back to each other...

Again?

Found is book two in the Captive Heart series. It was totally unexpected and very different from the first book. I finished the story in one day. Tucker and Charlotte (Char) are very different people, three years have changed them, transformed them. They struggle with their past, present and future.

"You'd think that after three years of waiting, three years of sitting next to him, unable to touch, I'd be able to wait for another twenty-five more measly minutes. But that's precisely why I can't."

It's now three years after Tucker and Char had been identified. Charlotte has been waiting three years for Tucker. She has spent the last three years moving past her fears, her heartbreak and moving forward with life. Char finds her inner strength, she has a successful new position, she's made a good friend and has remained committed to Tucker.

Tucker has his own struggles. He's lost himself, not able to see past his situation. He doesn't believe he's good enough for Char. It effects their relationship until Char finally takes the reigns but is it enough? Can Tucker forgive himself and move past his insecurities or will he lose everything?

The story moves between the present and the past three years, providing insight into the characters motivations. The author does a tremendous job developing the characters, their struggles, pain and motivations. I love this final book, it was like a totally different story. Two very different people with very different struggles finding their HEA. 5 Stars!
