Angst, angst, angst and happy tears! Knox and Shelby are two strong characters hiding from an opposing force. A force so large that they keep their relationship in the closet.
Knox and Shelby’s story began in the very steamy A Night with Knox, A Sexy Bastard Novella. Shelby’s over protective brother’s interference in her love life drives her right into the arms of Knox. Knox has no idea that Shelby is his best friend and business partner’s younger sister until they meet again in Knox. Holy hell there is drama ahead.
Knox is a sexy, all star pitcher who has been traded and finds himself back in his hometown. He has a lot to prove in more ways than one. Knox not only has to prove his worth to his new team but has to prove that a relationship with Shelby is worth the risk.
Their chemistry is off the charts. They connect but Shelby's brother, Jackson, isn't going to be pleased. He's an over protective cave man. He's taken on the parent role and can't release Shelby into adulthood. Shelby has a lot on her plate with the crisis at her job and the unexpected relationship with Knox, she's in crisis mode. When in crisis mode she digs in and munches on sweets. By the end of the story I found myself crazing a Cinnamon bun. The story may need a warning, Read on a Full Stomach. Knox is angsty, with plenty of laughs and tears to boot. 4 1/2 Stars
