Review: Tempest Rising (Rising Storm, Episode 1) by Julie Kenner

Tempest Rising (Rising Storm, Episode 1)

Secrets, Sex and Scandals …

Welcome to Storm, Texas, where passion runs hot, desire runs deep, and secrets have the power to destroy… Get ready. The storm is coming.

Nestled among rolling hills and painted with vibrant wildflowers, the bucolic town of Storm, Texas, seems like nothing short of perfection.

But there are secrets beneath the facade. Dark secrets. Powerful secrets. The kind that can destroy lives and tear families apart. The kind that can cut through a town like a tempest, leaving jealousy and destruction in its wake, along with shattered hopes and broken dreams. All it takes is one little thing to shatter that polish.

Ginny Moreno didn’t mean to do it, but when she came home to Storm, she brought the tempest with her. And now everyone will be caught in its fury…

In the tradition of Dallas and Dynasty, welcome to Storm. Episode 1: Tempest Rising is the introduction of the eight part series, each written by eight different, fantastic authors. The series is a soap opera revolving around several families that live in the small town of Storm. This first episode has set the tone for the series. The story centers around tragedy, scandal and deceit. The character are quickly introduced, do not fear if you feel confused at the beginning because the characters are well developed throughout this first episode. If you enjoy soap operas this is the series for you! I'm intrigued with the concept of  each episode delivering a different Author's POV.  The next in the series is White Lightning written by one of my favorite writers, Lexi Blake.
