 Pippa

The girl you all know as damaged. Quiet. Broken.
She doesn’t fit in. Nothing in her world feels right. She’s trapped in a spiral of darkness that seem to be consuming her day by day, until she sees nothing but an empty, black hole.
Her world is a dark place she can’t escape.
She has people around her who matter. Who love her. But it’s not enough. Not enough to break her out of the bitter despair she lives in.

UNTIL TYKE.

He knows pain. He knows darkness. He’s sweet. He’s kind. But most of all…
He understands her.
Combining their demons doesn’t seem like the best plan. Everyone is against them. He deserves better. She deserves better. They’ll never work. They’re too broken. Too damaged. It’s a destructive combination that will only end in heartbreak.

He’s a biker. She’s a broken angel.

But in their desolation, they find peace.

WITH EACH OTHER.

Pippa and Tyke's broken love is soul crushing and heart mending.

This by far my favorite of the series. Pippa provides details of her time as a slave. She had been through hell and back. Her family (her sister and the Jokers's Wrath MC) treat her as if she's broken and fragile from her horrible experience. She's looking for love, a normal life and someone to share it with.

"I'm lonely. I'm the one they struggle to understand. The one they love, but don't know what to do with. I don't blame them; I'm not easy to understand."

Her best Tyke is a handsome, slightly broken biker. He has been her support since the day she arrived at the club. She's developed feeling for him, but the problem is she's the only one who feels it.

Even though Tyke has a girlfriend, he continues to maintain a close friendship with Pippa. Tyke helps Pippa breakout of her shell. He pushes her, he wants to make her happy and to feel loved. Pippa hides her past, not wanting to burden her family or friends. She is Tykes broken angel and he is her broken biker.

Pippa is slowly putting her life back together, after her tragic, life-altering experience. She moves forward in life by working, making new friends, and finding herself. Pippa begins to voice her doubts, Tyke is there to reassure her and help her find her voice.

Tyke wants more, but he also suffers from low self-esteem due to his injury and peer pressure (a nice way of saying, a directive). He thinks he's bad for her, he cannot give her what she needs. Tyke pushes Pippa away, not giving her the choice. Her family is so worried about her being broken and fragile, they are don't allow her to heal and move forward in life.

As Pippa continues to break out of her shell, she chooses who she wants and stands-up for her decision. Unfortunately, her happiness is brief before more mayhem ensues.

I am going to miss the Alpha men of the Joker's Wrath MC series, Maddox, Mack, Krypt and Tyke. Each story had it's own pain, struggle, and HEA. Tyke and Pippa's story is endearing and is beautifully written. They both struggle with a crippled soul, but in the end their love conquers all.
