*****5 Stars***** Review: The Virgin (The Original Sinners: White Years #3) by Tiffany Reisz

The Virgin (The Original Sinners: White Years, #3)

For years, Kingsley Edge warned Eleanor the day would come when she, the mistress of a well-respected Catholic priest, would have to run and hide. She always imagined if that day came she'd be running away with Søren. But instead, she's running from him.

Knowing Søren and Kingsley will their use their influence to bring her back, Eleanor alone, penniless and scared takes refuge at the one place the men in her life cannot follow: the abbey where her mother has taken orders. Behind the cloistered gates of the convent, Eleanor hides from the man she loves and hates in equal measure

She cannot, however, hide from her true nature. When Eleanor befriends a young virginal nun, she faces a startling sexual awakening. But Eleanor can't stay forever, and the lure of her real life beckons beyond the locked gates. But to follow her fate means to leave Kyrie behind, a sacrifice Eleanor refuses to make

The lure of the forbidden. The temptation to sin. The price of passion has never been higher, and Eleanor will have to pay it if she ever wants to go home again.

I have become a connoisseur of Dark erotica and Tiffany Reisz is my queen. I have read, enjoyed and become addicted to the 'Original Sinners' series. 'The Virgin' further develops the characters, provides missing links, and dives into mythology that complements the story.

Nora reveals a secret to Soren that leads to more revelations during 'That year'. A year she had spent with her mother, a nun who lives at an abbey. During Nora's stay at the abbey she befriends Kyrie, who gifts Nora with her future. At first I wondered if Kyrie was a figment of Nora's imagination, since she was lonely and horny. It almost seemed like a dream, Kyrie coming to Nora to tempt her and guide her back to her life beyond the abbey gates.

Kingsley reveals where he went and who he met during 'That year'.  Kingsley was lost, alone, and defeated. He meets his match, pursues her until she sends him away and he returns home. It's not a simple boy meets girl tale, it a beautiful, lustful love story of two lost souls.

After the tales are told, we return the wedding of two of the 'Original Sinners'.  (Not giving it away.) Prior to the wedding Soren gifts Nora with a special riding crop that seals their love and acceptance. Yes, only in the 'Original Sinner' series can you find a riding crop symbolic, learn mythology and skip church because you had your daily biblical insight. Although I don't know if my Priest would agree.
