*****5 Star Review***** Manwhore (Manwhore, #1) by Katy Evans

Manwhore (Manwhore, #1)

Is it possible to expose Chicago’s hottest player—without getting played?

This is the story I've been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Mysterious. Privileged. Legendary. His entire life he’s been surrounded by the press as they dig for tidbits to see if his fairytale life is for real or all mirrors and social media lies. Since he hit the scene, his secrets have been his and his alone to keep. And that’s where I come in.

Assigned to investigate Saint and reveal his elusive personality, I’m determined to make him the story that will change my career.

But I never imagined he would change my life. Bit by bit, I start to wonder if I'm the one discovering him...or if he's uncovering me.

What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?

Meet  Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint, "Ruthless, they say. A complete manwhore, they say. And so ambitious he'd put Midas to shame.  Oh yeah. They say Saint won't rest until he owns the world."
Meet Rachel Livingston, a writer who has been given an opportunity to advance her career, a woman who has boxed herself up and created a safe zone that no romantic interest is allow to enter.
Rachel is persuaded into accepting an assignment that will advance her career, it will also breathe life back into the company she works for, 'Edge'. "There doesn't seem to be any way of salvaging Edge except with a huge investment that doesn't seem forthcoming, or with stories much bigger than what we've been running." Hence her supervisor decision to send Rachel out to get the scope on Malcolm Saint, the juicy tidbits of his life.

The job sounds easy, meet Saint, find out what makes him tick and share it with the world. Well, that's until Rachel discovers there's more to Saint then she had expected. From their first meeting Saint finds Rachel intriguing. I love that she showed up to their meeting informally dressed because she was out saving the world. She jumped at the chance, not automatically declining because she
wasn't at her best. After the next couple of meetings Saint becomes intrigued, Rachel is real and not
someone who is after him for his fame or fortune. Soon he lets down walls and she reciprocates.
Rachel internally struggles with her loyalties. In the end we are left with a cliff hanger.

Rachel is young, determined, and in control of her life. She volunteers for a cause that is dear to heart. She cares for her family and friends and she want to do more for her mom.  The opportunity presents it's self and it turns into a moral struggle. I can feel her angst and become teary eyed along side her. I love stories that bring out emotions. Katy Evans hit it spot on! I can't wait for 'MANWHORE +1'!
