Book Review: Well Built by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

Well Built

When it comes to women, sexy, well-built Kyle Coleman has always been a lover, not a fighter. His one exception? The sassy, tempting, smart-mouthed Ella Fisher. Her family and his are sworn enemies, which make the two of them off-limits—despite the fact that she's inspired some of his dirtiest, most erotic fantasies for years. But when the lines between animosity and lust become irrevocably blurred one fateful evening, their one night stand leads to a very unexpected consequence—that changes everything between them forever.

Well Built is a sweet with a touch of angst second chance love story. It's the third book in the Book Boyfriend series and can be read as a standalone.

Kyle Coleman and Ella Fisher were high school sweethearts until one tragic night when their world came crashing down. It's ten years later and Kyle is back and bidding on the same building as Ella. Ella is heart broken when she loses the bid because she had wanted to expand her families store. She doesn't give up easily but soon discovers that Kyle has personal plans for the building and isn't willing to part with his purchase. One broken down car later and Ella finds herself in Kyle's bed. Their connection is off the charts.

Ella has always loved Kyle but doesn't believe a long distance relationship can work. Ella fears and feelings of guilt keep their relationship undercover. Kyle wants more. He wants it all or nothing. No more hiding. Can Ella overcome her fears to move forward with her life. The angst is well developed. You can feel the angst moving in like a jet engine on full blast. When it hit my heart hurt. The ending however seemed anticlimactic. It's a sweet HEA but I felt a little let down. 4 Stars
